July 18 , 2005 (Honolulu, HI):  Kaeo R+D welcomes the Hawaii Catholic Religious Education office.  Kaeo R+D will be developing an informational website for this office.

 

July 15 , 2005 (Honolulu, HI):   Kaeo R+D welcomes the Hawaii Medical Association.  Kaeo R+D will be developing and integrating HMAs' informational website and on-line member services.

 

June 9 , 2005 (Honolulu, HI):  Kaeo R+D welcomes the Hawaii Independent Physicians Association (HIPA), now Hawaii's largest physician association.  Kaeo R+D will be developing HIPA's web presence and data repository project.

 

A new look for LION Coffee and Royal Kona Coffee

 

February 7 , 2005 (Honolulu, HI):  www.lioncoffee.com will have a new look this month.  Designed by Hawaii Coffee Company's artist to be easier to update and popup-free, the new look is more contemporary yet retains the nostalgic and whimsical touches LION Coffee is famous for.  New content as well as content upgrades, including a section celebrating the history and artwork of one of America's oldest coffee brands, are yet to come.

 

In March, the Royal Kona coffee website will also have a new and distinctive look, featuring gold foil and black lacquer effects.

The new looks are just the latest in the continuous refinements to these extremely popular websites, which serve not only the retail consumer but wholesalers and resellers as well.   Significant (yet invisible to most users) Infrastructure improvements were actually completed by Kaeo R+D in August 2004 to enable the shopping cart to handle increased holiday traffic - record-breaking on-line holiday revenues were recorded as a result.

 

Market Trends to launch 2nd Generation of MarketIQ

 

September 13, 2004 (Honolulu, HI):  MarketIQ is an on-line, real-time web information system that provides market and customer satisfaction data to clients over the internet.   The 2nd generation of Market IQ will be launched on October 1.  (The 1st generation of MarketIQ was also developed by Kaeo R+D for Market Trends Pacific)

Kaeo R+D has  designed the newest Market IQ to be more interactive, and back end data processing has been further automated.    The result is a system that rapidly presents precise information to the user in a compelling and powerful interface, under the user's control.

Advanced technologies from the world of computer gaming were integrated with the data system to achieve this high level of usability.  These technologies include interactive, animated charting and data visualization using Flash™, audio customer interviews controlled via Flash™ multimedia jukebox players, and real time synchronization between the presented data tables and the Flash™ animation using XML.

Hawaii Coffee Company revitalizing website, enhancing on-line customer service

 

March 15 , 2004 (Honolulu, HI):  The loyal customers of Lion Coffee, Royal Kona Coffee and Hawaiian Islands Teas will be able to browse and shop in a more robust and informative on-line environment integrated by Kaeo R+D..

 

The system architecture and design are based on the results of ongoing analysis and experimentation conducted by Kaeo R+D.  Customer requests, interaction with web pages/content/semantics, system performance (speed) and buying patterns are all taken into account in the analysis, which started in Q3 2003.

 

Classic Resorts to enhance on-line operations

 

January 15 , 2004 (Lahaina, Maui, HI):  Classic Resorts, Limited has contracted Kaeo R+D to link the Pacific Data Intelligence™ on-line booking engine  with their e-marketing data repository.

The Pacific Data Intelligence™ booking engine is a user-friendly, data-driven room reservations system that features virtual inventory management as well as dynamically tailored presentation of room and package information.

 

The Classic Resorts e-marketing data repository system was previously installed in November 2003 and has already led to simplification of the current on-line reservation request process.  The e-marketing system is also being reconfigured to include the new Classic Rewards (rewards.classicresorts.com) program for travel agents starting in February.

Hawaii Coffee Company to use advanced, e-marketing system
 

August 6, 2003 (Honolulu, HI):  The Hawaii Coffee Company (www.hicoffeeco.com), producer of the well-known Lion Coffee® and Royal Kona® Coffee products, announced that it will be using the Pacific Data Intelligence™ e-marketing information system from Kaeo R+D.

 

This advanced system integrates web analytics, ROI (Return on Investment) correlation, search optimization, contact management and customer communications to allow the Hawaii Coffee Company to dynamically optimize their e-marketing efforts.

 

Kaeo R+D will also be providing website enhancement and tuning based on the information collected by the Pacific Data Intelligence™ e-marketing system.

 

Although their website revenues are already high by island standards, the Hawaii Coffee Company is looking forward to becoming a world-class purveyor of gourmet coffees with the use of this system and the related site enhancements. 

Kaeo R+D will be deploying the Pacific Data Intelligence™ e-marketing system rapidly and expects it to be ready for use by the start of the holiday shopping season (October).

 
VOG Study Hits One Year Anniversary
 

March 14, 2003 (Na'alehu, HI): The VOG study team, including community members from the Big Island and researchers from UH Manoa and Kaeo R+D, celebrated the end of Round 2 and the first year of data collection.  The team has recruited and worked with thousands of students at 25 schools, as well as collected particulate samples from impactors distributed across the Big Island in this community research study.

The study has also attracted attention both locally and at a national level. Articles were published in the Honolulu Advertiser (Big Island Kids Asthma Rate High) and in USA Today (For volcano generation, clear blue skies haven't been routine).

 
The Catholic Schools of Hawaii launches web-based Human Resources System
 

March 7, 2003 (Kaneohe, HI): The Catholic Schools of Hawai'i introduced a new, web-based Human Resources system developed by Kaeo R+D for use by Catholic School administrators and the Catholic Schools office. 

 
Servco launches expanded Customer Satisfaction System
 

February 19, 2003 (Honolulu, HI): Servco launches an enhanced customer satisfaction system. The system, developed by Kaeo R+D and Market Trends Pacific, allows Toyota employees to see customer satisfaction scores for the Service department as well as for New Car Sales.

 
Kaeo Rad, LLC designated as a Qualified High Technology Business
 

November 27, 2002 (Honolulu, HI): Kaeo Rad, LLC received confirmation from the State of Hawaii that it is eligible for certain tax incentives reserved for qualifying high technology businesses. These incentives are defined as part of the State of Hawai'is' Act 221. Act 221 was intended to encourage the growth of high technology industry in Hawai'i.  

The companys' application for confirmation stated that Kaeo Rad, LLC is engaged in the development of business intelligence and related software, data products and productized services.  It was also stated that  the company is developing related software that is domain (i.e. industry, knowledge area or market segment) specific.

 
Market Trends Pacific launches MarketIQ
 

October 2, 2002 (Honolulu, HI): After months of development, testing and refinement, Market Trends Pacific will launch the MarketIQ system, an integrated internet system of market research solutions that keeps companies in constant, real-time contact with their customers.

VOG Health Study Receives Grant
 

Feb 8, 2002 (UH Manoa, HI): The University of Hawai'i receives funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health for the Lung Assessment during Volcanic Activity (LAVA) health study. LAVA is the first comprehensive program that measures air quality and chronic lung health during the same time
